My husband and I were talking with Kathy about some land and told her we were extremely interested, but was very new to this whole process. We communicated back and forth for a month or so. We finally said we would like to make an offer, but we had to get pre-approved in Oklahoma for land/construction loan. We were already approved in Texas, but she said we had to qualify for Oklahoma. She assured me that no one else was looking at the land and she would let me know if anything or anyone else came along. During the ridiculous 2 week approval process my grandfather passed away. I told Kathy that it might take a little longer since I had to deal with the funeral and such. She again assured me that the land wasn't moving and that she would notify me if any activity started happening at all. At the end of the two week process, I contacted her once more to "check in" and she had sold the land to someone else. They had signed a contract at the beginning of that week. My husband and I were extremely disappointed. Looking back now, we should have put some earnest money down to secure the land, but we didn't know that at the time. Again, this is all new to us. Kathy never mentioned it either.
I highly doubt we will ever seek her out to work with again. And I surely will not recommend her.
